Rolls-Royce Black Badge Cullinan SUV

Black Card is mark of exclusivity and luxe status in the credit card world. Meanwhile, in the world of automobiles, black is also the mark of the exclusivity and uber luxury, and it by the way of the Rolls-Royce Black Badge.

The marque’s Black Badge family is the Black Card of the auto world. But make no mistake. The Black Badge is not just luxury; it is super-luxury and the latest to join the Spirit of Ecstasy marque’s super-luxe is the Cullinan.

Rolls-Royce Black Badge Cullinan SUV

Said to be the darkest, most urban expression of the Black Badge motor car yet, the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Cullinan SUV is powered by a 6.75L V12 twin-turbocharged engine massaged to produce 600 PS (592 horses) and turns out 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque – mated to a ZF 8-speed gearbox.

The monstrous power output is complemented by an re-engineered drivetrain and chassis, and it now rolls on a set of bespoke alloy wheels – Black Badge house style, of course. Also unique to the Black Badge is a black chrome Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, silver-on-black ‘Double R’ badges and every chrome elements, right down to the tailpipes, are given the dark treatment. On the inside, it is swathed in striking Forge Yellow leather and Technical Carbon veneer.

Unlike credit card, though, Black Badge in Rolls-Royce Black Badge Cullinan SUV is somewhat of a metaphor because, you can actually choose from a palette of “ready to wear” paint job, or commission an entirely individual Bespoke hue, if so desire. Then again, if you are getting a Black Badge Rolls, the Black Badge’s signature Black is how you want to get (or not get) attention.
