S.H.MonsterArts Godzilla vs. Kong Collectible Figures

Bandai’s S.H.MonsterArts is now taking pre-order for the collectible figures based on the two titans from the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong movie, namely Godzilla and King Kong.

If the product images are to be believed, the two collectible figures are pretty spot on in replicating the movie’s titans. And yes, the image you see up top is not movie magic. They are the collectible figures themselves.

The S.H.MonsterArts figure of Godzilla features the radioactive creature’s distinctive metallic fins painted in dirtied turquoise color, stands 16 cm (6.3 inches) tall, and has interchangeable giant claws. The figure was sculpted by Yuji Sakai based on film data for the most movie-accurate look.

Similarly, King Kong is also sculpted based on the film data to result in an incredible representation of the movie character. The 14.5 cm (5.7 inches) Kong figure was sculpted by animal sculptor Shinzen Takeuchi, whom I assume knows best when it comes to animal features and hence, further elevating the movie-accurate appearance.

For the giant primal creature, it further features alternate facial expressions, battle axe as seen in the movie trailer, and interchangeable giant hands. Both figures are made out of PVC and ABS material, and have some form of articulations to enable posability.
