is it true that the Samsung GALAXY S4‘s big form factor may not be everyone’s cup of Earl Grey, but that doesn’t mean you have to forego this awesome device cos’ Sammy has folks who prefer smaller device or with smaller hands covered. and that device is none other than the Samsung GALAXY S4 mini. but do not mistaken it as a tiny version of the S4; with a physical size of 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.94 mm, it is just a little smaller than the firm’s current flagship handset and in fact, it just got a wee bit thicker. equipped with a 4.3″ qHD Super AMOLED display, this 107 grams handset is powered by a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, bolstered by 1.5GB of RAM and runs off Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. needless to say, aesthetically, it looks just about the same as the larger sibling (we bet you can’t really tell the difference from the images).
available in two guises: a 4G LTE version and a 3G Dual SIM model, the new S4 mini features a 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.9MP front-facing item, 8GB internal storage – expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB supported), WiFi (a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, NFC (on LTE version), IR LED, GPS, GLONASS, plus the usual host sensors include accelerometer, light and proximity sensors, gyroscope and the likes. of course, you will also get the Samsung skinned Android, or more commonly known as Touchwhiz and be treated with features like Group Play, S Travel, S Voice, S Translator, as well as the host of camera features like Sound & Shot, Best Photo, Best Face, HDR, Panorama, and more. no word on the pricing or availability at the time of this writing, but some lucky folks will be invited for a product hands-on at Samsung Premiere 2013 GALAXY & ATIV in London on the June 20, 2013. by then, we may have a little more info with regard to availability, if not the pricing indication.
