If you’re a die-hard mecha anime fan, you’ve probably dreamed of seeing your favorite giant robots from Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Macross Delta the Movie: Passionate Walküre, Getter Robo Arc, Aura Battler Dunbine, and more team up to kick some villainous butt. Well, that dream is now a reality—at least, if you’re in Japan.

Bandai Namco has officially announced Super Robot Wars Y for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 [JP], and PC (Steam) [JP], set for release in 2025. Like its predecessors, the game blends tactical RPG gameplay with an all-star crossover of legendary mecha series. Expect intense, turn-based battles where you strategically move your units, launch devastating attacks, and upgrade your favorite robots to absolute war machines. The game features a mix of adventure-style storytelling and high-energy combat, with stunning attack animations and, of course, plenty of shouting.
Confirmed series include The Witch from Mercury Season 1, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection, Majestic Prince, and classics like Combattler V. More will be revealed, but if history is any indication, the roster is going to be stacked.
For the hardcore collectors, an Ultra Limited Edition is up for pre-order, bundling the game with a ROBOT魂 Ruundrache figure, an acrylic stand, and a 76-track digital soundtrack. The asking price for this super cool bundle for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation is 29,920 yen [JP] (~200 USD).
