Here’s another LEGO Ideas submission that has won the hearts of many and too good not to mention. This is a LEGO replica of the Auto Union Type C Race Car straight from the 1930s.
Created by by LEGO Ideas member Alexandre Rossier aka redera00, who was one of the winner of LEGO MOC contest ‘The Ultimate Tour’), this 1936 race car is seen in its hill climb configuration, featuring twin rear wheels for extra traction as wide tires aren’t available during that time.
LEGO Auto Union Type C Race Car is a 1:8 scale model which measures a breathtaking 50 cm (1.6 feet!) long.
Alexandre’s take of the legendary race car features removable body panels, allowing the inner beauty, including the 16-piston engine, to be admire.
Redera00’s LEGO Auto Union Type C Race Car has reached the 10,000 supporter milestone between the months of early September 2020 and the review’s qualification date, January 4th, 2021.
It is now qualified for the third 2020 LEGO Ideas review, along with 24 other products ideas including the Milwaukee Art Museum by Vida Andras.
