Asking for good sound from a flat screen TV is like asking for rain in the desert. It rarely happen. That’s why sound bars exist. However, if you prefer an integrated system with assured audio quality, your options become limited. Bang & Olufsen has a couple to offer. So do Vizio. And now, Philips has join the rare TVs with actual audio.
Meet Philips TV with Sound by Bowers & Wilkins. The Dutch TV maker teamed up with Bowers & Wilkins to add the British audiophile equipment maker’s bespoke speaker enclosure, featuring Tweeter-on-Top technology, to its OLED+ and LED TVs to deliver “the most expansive, immersive audio quality you’ve ever heard from a television.”
The Philips TVs that have been given the B&W treatment include OLED+984 (65”), OLED+935 (48”, 55”, and 65”), LED 9435 (55”, 65”), LED 9235 (43”), and Momentum (55”). Basically, Philips and B&W have all sizes covered with good audio. Philips TV with Sound by Bowers & Wilkins are available in select countries as we speak.
