Solar-powered watches are hardly new, but TAG Heuer is making a strong case for why they deserve more attention. The Swiss watchmaker has expanded its Aquaracer lineup with the new Aquaracer Professional 100 Solargraph and Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph collections, bringing fresh designs and improved ergonomics to its light-powered timepieces.

One of the biggest changes is the return of a 28 mm Aquaracer. The new Aquaracer Professional 100 Solargraph arrives in four variants, ranging from black and blue sunray-brushed dials to more luxurious mother-of-pearl versions. All feature diamond hour markers, while the range-topping model goes a step further with a diamond-set bezel and gold accents. Beneath the elegant exterior is the new TH51-00 Solargraph movement, which converts both natural and artificial light into energy. Fully charged, it can keep ticking for up to eight months.
For those who prefer a larger tool watch, TAG Heuer has also refreshed the Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph in 40 mm form. The new generation sports a redesigned bezel with the return of rider tabs, sharper case lines, updated hands, and an interchangeable bracelet system. Available in blue or green stainless steel versions, as well as more rugged titanium models, the collection stays true to the Aquaracer’s adventure-ready roots.
Powering the 40 mm lineup is the TH50-00 Solargraph movement. Just 10 minutes of light exposure is enough to provide up to 40 hours of power, while a full charge delivers up to 10 months of autonomy. Water resistance remains a reassuring 200 meters (656 feet), making these watches more than capable of handling life around and under the water.
What makes the Solargraph lineup appealing is that it quietly removes one of the annoyances of owning a quartz watch. Instead of worrying about battery changes every few years, the watch simply keeps itself charged whenever it sees light. It is one of those technologies that feels obvious once you have lived with it.
The new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 100 Solargraph starts at US$3,050, while the diamond-accented flagship tops out at US$5,350. The larger Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph begins at US$3,100 and reaches US$3,850 for the Grade 5 titanium model. All references became available beginning May 25, 2026.
