Good news, old school fans of Transformers. Takara Tomy is now taking pre-order for the Transformers Generations Selects TT-GS11 Volcanicus! You know, the G1-style combiner Dinobots? Yeah, those.
The set comprises of five Dinobots, each transformable into robot and dino alt-mode, plus into limb that combine with Grimlock to form large Volcanicus figure. Absolutely lovely.
You may have remember these as separate Dinobots from the Power of the Primes toy line. If you haven’t gotten those, the Takara Tomy Transformers Generation Selects TT-GS11 Volcanicus will save you the trouble of picking up the figures one by one.
Moreover, there are a few perks including updated deco to reflect their appearance in the animated series and new weapon accessories. The set also comes with a pair of giant magma blades weapon accessories that were not included in the original releases, plus a new weapon for Dinobots leader, Grimlock, for use in the combined mode.
The Transformers Generations Selects TT-GS11 Volcanicus is a Takara Tomy Mall exclusive and it can be pre-order now from Takara Tomy mall for 22,000 yen (around US$209).
Folks in stateside are not left out because, Hasbro Pulse is taking pre-order for the exact same gift set, complete with the original packaging, Japanese-language instructions and all. And it is a lot cheaper than in the Japanese market, at US$188.99. Neighbors up North, however, is out of luck.
