Takara Tomy has just revealed the next component of its first-ever Masterpiece Combiner. This is the 5th of the 6 Trainbots that can be transformed and combined to form the giant robot, known as Raiden.
Of the 5 (including this one) revealed, only two of the Trainbots transforming toys are out in the market. So far, they are OK (you may want to check out our review on the MPG-01). Not 100% toon-accurate but I am still excited because, it is, after all, the first Masterpiece Combiner toy.
Anyhoo, the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MPG-05 Seizan has been officially revealed today (Japan time), along with some awesome product images.
Trainbot Seizan toy is an L limited express L485-300 series train that transforms into a fully posable robot and into the right arm of super robot Raiden. In addition, part of Seizan can be separated to become the leg support for the right leg of the super robot Raiden.
As before, it will come supplied with two pieces of the track for display it in his train mode. Also included a light sword, a pair of cannons, another gun, and a part that is presumably an adaptor for use to display with a stand to mimic the train flying. Yes. Flying train which the Trainbots often do in the cartoon.
The train is officially licensed by Japan Rail. Takara Tomy Mall in Japan is taking pre-orders for the Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MPG-05 Seizan. The asking price is 22,000 yen (about US$167).
