First, there was the Alien: The Play and now, there’s going to be a Terminator: The Musical as well. You better believe it. The assault of sci-fi horror/thriller on Broadway is real. Granted Alien: The Play quite a Broadway and neither will this upcoming “sci-fi musical.” Anywho, unlike the high schoolers’ adaptation of Ridley Scott space horror flick which was essentially playing out scenes from the Alien movie, Terminator: The Musical is a full-on musical.
Also, it is more of a parody based on the first two movies, 1984’s Terminator and 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Parody or not, Terminator and musical can’t seems to gel in anyway. It is happening, nevertheless and I can hardly imagine how is it going to be played out. Witnessing T-800 or the T-1000 singing will be absolutely bonkers.
“Come explore L.A.’s sexiest time-travel conundrum with face-melting song-and-dance numbers only fit for back alley Broadway! Featuring explosive original songs sure to make you say ‘I’ll be back.. to see this shiz again!’”
Hmmm. I wonder if they will rock GN’R’s You Could Be Mine on stage? Terminator: The Musical is happening at the Fallout Theater in Austin, Texas, U.S.A. starting on Friday, May 3, 2019. The show will run every Friday at 8PM and Saturday at 7PM through to May 25, 2019. Tickets are going for $18 in advance online or $20 at the door. No words if the musical will be running outside of Texas.
