Well, what do you know? Looks like Chris Pratt is cut out for voice acting too. Still fairly fresh from The Super Mario Bros. Christ Pratt has lent his voice to yet another iconic cartoon character: Garfield. That’s right, my friends, there is going to be a new Garfield movie but do not be alarmed. This is a strictly animated feature film, not live-action-mixed-animation that sucks so much. Oops. I am not supposed to say it out loud but anyway… the new Garfield flick, aptly called, well, The Garfield Movie features Chris Pratt as the voice of Garfield, and Samuel L. Jackson as Garfield’s long-lost father, street cat Vic.
Here’s a brief of what the film is about:
“Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.”
The movie is based on the screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan, Mark Torgove, and David Reynolds, and directed by Mark Dindal. The Garfield Movie will hit theaters in Summer 2024. Keep going for the first official trailer.
