One thing Michael Bay taught us was that live-action movies and cartoons can never mix. But that doesn’t stop threezero from pulling this off: Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal (Beast Wars Universe Edition) Exclusive Version. This particular premium collectible figure is based on the 2023’s mold, with a bit of the 90s CGI cartoon Beast Wars elements in the mix that should tickle the nostalgia in collectors.

The DLX Optimus Primal is not your average toy—it’s a beast (pun intended). Standing at approximately 28.5 cm (11.2 in.) tall, it sports Primal’s signature red, blue, and black color scheme with the iconic Maximals insignia on his chest. As a bonus, this figure also throws in PVC “fur” on the shoulder armor to mimic his animated counterpart’s silhouette.
Playability is key here. For the first time, threezero introduces a missile launcher to its DLX line. Primal’s Mega Blasters can be mounted on his back and adjusted for angle, launching missiles to really get that action scene going. If that’s not enough firepower, he also has wrist cannons with magnetic attachments—what better way to say “I’m ready for battle” than with a pair of cannons on your arms?
To keep things fresh, the figure comes with three interchangeable faces, so you can show off Primal’s many moods, plus LED-illuminated eyes (batteries not included, of course). For those nostalgic for the old-school Beast Wars vibe, the Exclusive Version includes a Mutant Mask and Skull Flail, which can be transformed into two different forms—one melee and one with a metal chain.
At US$269.99, this limited edition piece (only 1,600 units available worldwide, with 400 exclusively on the threezero store) brings a whole new level of detail and playability to your collection, though it might be a bit tough to snag since the threezero store stock has already sold out. Still, check out other retailers, as pre-orders are still available.
