now that major consoles are already out and about in the market, all eyes will be on the new games and peripherals for these consoles at this year’s E3, happening between June 10 and 12. speaking of hardware, Turtle Beach has a trio of headsets to show off and among them, it is the Turtle Beach Ear Force Elite 800 Headset that caught our attention. with the Elite 800, Turtle Beach brings DTS to your sound holes, offering surround sound gaming audio with DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Channel Sound and DTS Surround Sound modes, and has Active Noise Cancellation to boot. both features are unheard of for console gaming headsets until now. the Elite 800 boasts a completely re-imagined preset system that allows the surround sound modes to be preset for different genre of games, movies and music. a mobile app lets you customize and manage these presets with ease.

though it uses 30-ft range RF with Intelligent Channel Hopping for wireless audio transmission, the Elite 800 is also equipped with Bluetooth for connecting to your mobile device for taking calls, listening to music and more. it has a dual invisible microphones setup, allowing it to do without boom for a clean, sleek look. its built-in battery offers up to 15 hours of play time and recharges wirelessly via an included low profile magnetic charging stand. other details include large 50mm neodymium drivers, synthetic leather with memory foam cushion, rocker plate controls, digital optical (Toslink) with digital optical pass-through input on Transmitter. the Turtle Beach Ear Force Elite 800 Headset is compatible with both PS4, as well as PS3 and is slated to hit the stores this Fall for $299.95 a pop.
