Aerospace & Defence Paper Airplane by Arrow Electronics

A contraption that feeds on paper and spits out paper plane is not new, but one that does the same using only LEGO elements, now that’s news. Granted that this particular work of art coming from Arrow Electronics is not news. It was posted on Arrow’s YouTube channel a little over a year ago, but hey, like I always say, if you haven’t heard of it, it is news. Am I right? Anywho, if you have seen it, I am sure you are beyond awe to be bother by its age, and if you hadn’t, well, enjoy this wonder LEGO creation conjured up by designer Arther Sacek.

This particular piece was kind of a celebration of technology, what we have achieved thus far (2016, that is) and what is to come for the human race. Thanks to the background music and speech, which I believe includes an excerpt from Neil Armstrong the moment he stepped onto the Moon, this creation and the video itself reeks of powerful emotion. This one-minute short was created for last year’s Super Bow commercial spot by Arrow Electronics, the same company that helped enable a quadriplegic to race up Pikes Peak last July, and shot by Elevation Digital Media who took just under four hours to complete the entire shoot.

The result is beautiful video that we could only described as truly breathtaking. The video, entitled Aerospace & Defence Paper Airplane, features an intricately designed and built robotic LEGO paper plane launcher that swallows a flat sheet paper, sending it through a series of folding and crimping process, and eventually launching it into the air. If you haven’t watch yet, enjoy the video embedded below and if you have watched it, just treat it as fond refresher. It is definitely worth a re-watch. In fact, I have watched at least three times (sorry, I just can’t help it) before I decided that it would be a crime not to share it despite its ‘age’. Enjoy!
