WoodyMac Magnetic Building Blocks

Can LEGO be ever topple as the most popular building toy? Probably not, but are LEGO accurate representation of buildings? Not so much. The beauty and flexibility of LEGO is deniable. We love them too, but if you are looking at something a little more closer to real life, WoodMac Magnetic Building Blocks may be just the building blocks you (or your kids) need. It won’t be as flexible as LEGO for sure, but at least, you or your kids get to build real-looking houses using almost realistic methods, except there’s no cement or piling involved.

WoodyMac Magnetic Building Blocks

WoodyMac are made of natural, high-quality beechwood and plywood inset with neodymium magnets. The latter, together with slots and tabs, are what hold your creation together. Pretty ingenious if you ask us and if we are not mistaken, it is the first time construction set leverage on magnets to hold stuff together. In a way, the WoodMac is like LEGO made for aspiring architects, be it kids or grown ups. With WoodyMac, you are free to create whatever type buildings you can dream up with, ranging from castle to dollhouse to dock house, right down to the furniture.

With a myriad of standard and unique parts, such as roof railings, awnings, sliding doors, panels with opening doors – just to name a few, the possibility to create is pretty much endless as far as architecture is concern. To be honest, I am kind of into miniature stuff and while WoodyMac is hardly miniature, miniature, it does kind of tickles our fancy as we see the potential of creating model architecture with it and completing it with gardens and landscaping to create a small, small world. Well, though, these construction may need a little more play space than usual as they are quite large by construction kits standard.

If you are all up for it, you can help make WoodyMac Magnetic Building Blocks a reality by backing its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. For $159-$195, you’d be securing yourself a WoodyMac kit, slated for February 2016 delivery. As always, that’s provided that the campaign meets or surpasses its set funding goal (which is pretty close, actually).
