We just told you about the Xiaomi 12T Pro Daniel Arsham Edition and here we are, writing about the new Xiaomi 13 Series. There are two models (so far), namely, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. You can understand the former as the successor to the Xiaomi 12S and the latter, as a follow-up to the 12S Pro and 12S Ultra. Though I’m pretty sure there’s going to be an Ultra version soon enough.
Both the Xiaomi 13 and the 13 Pro have many specs in common, including the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, LPDDR5X “full-blood” edition RAM, UFS 4.0 storage (though the Pro further touts FBO, a new storage technology), vapor chamber cooling, Xiaomi Peng Pai battery management chip, IP68 rating, and of course, a camera system featuring Leica optics technology. Both the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 are offered in a choice of 8 GB and 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage.
The Pro is obviously the high end of the two with a larger display and battery which is a 120 Hz 6.73-inc 2K OLED curved flexible display offering an eye-watering 3,200 x 1,440 resolution with a max brightness of 1,900nit.
It has a 4,820 mAh battery that supports 120W Xiaomi Peng Pai wired flash charge, 50W Pro Xiaomi Peng Pai wireless flash charge, and 10W wireless reverse charging.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 13 is outfitted with a 6.36-inch OLED flexible display with a max refresh rate of 120 Hz, 2,400 x 1,080 resolution, and 1,900nit of peak brightness.
The battery is a 4,500 mAh item that supports 67W Xiaomi Peng Pai flash charge, 50W Xiaomi Peng Pai wireless flash charge, and 10W wireless reverse charging.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 are available to buy now in China with a starting price of 4,999 yuan and 3,999 yuan (around US$717 and US$574), respectively.
