In the past, automakers pride themselves for implementing new engine tech. These days, they are pretty proud to announced industry-first equipment. We are talking about the 2021 Cadillac Escalade. It boasts not one, but two industry-first. The first AKG audio technology that boasts a 36-speaker AKG Studio Reference system and the second, curved P-OLED technology from LG Electronics.
Oh, it also touts “segment-first” available Super Cruise driver assistance technology. The luxury SUV is expected to launch Q3 2020 in N.A. In addition to the firsts, 2021 Escalade has been completely redesigned with improved driving dynamics and “significantly greater passenger and cargo capabilities.”
Its luxury is beyond the traditional sense. The luxury is in the tech too.
Under the hood, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade is drive forth by a new variable valve timing 6.2L V8 motor producing a healthy 430 horsepower. If petrol isn’t your cuppa, there’s a 3.0L turbo diesel option that has a peak torque of 460 lb-ft (623 Nm) that matches that of the 6.2L V8 engine.
Transmission is by the way of a 10-speed automatic gearbox with electronic shift control and a trailering package comes standard across all models because, its a Cadillac and it is an Escalade!
Pricing has not been announced yet, but if you are looking to own one later this year, you probably have already prepared yourself for the worst. In the meantime, you can learn more about the 2021 Cadillac Escalade HERE.
