Nissan GT-R, the flagship sports car of Nissan, has not seen a redesign for like, forever, and with the 2024 mode, it finally did. It is good news for fans – that is, you haven’t already bought the 2023 Nissan GT-R revealed last November. Damn. It feels like a slap on the face for fans, doesn’t it?
Anyhoo, the 2024 Nissan GT-R received updated aerodynamics, featuring redesigned front and rear fascias and new rear wing designs that enhance the sports car’s aero performance as well as the look.
Along with the news of the 2024 model, is the news of the T-spec is making a comeback, joining the GT-R Premium and NISMO models. Speaking of NISMO… it adds a front limited-slip differential and is available with the NISMO Appearance package, featuring unique wheels and carbon fiber elements.
As a nod to the rarest R34-generation GT-R models, the new 2024 Nissan GT-R will be available in exclusive Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple paint colors.
Powered by a 3.8L, 24-valve, twin-turbocharged engine that is hand-assembled by takumi technicians, the new 2024 Nissan GT-R packs 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft (633 Nm) of torque and is paired with a titanium exhaust system and an ATTESA ET-S all-wheel-drive system as standard. Meanwhile, the NISMO model has 600 HP and 481 lb-ft (652 Nm) of torque.
The ATTESA ET-S all-wheel-drive system can vary its front-to-rear torque split, depending on the driving scenario, for peak driving feel and performance. In between, there is a standard 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters that offer manual control.
Other highlights include independent double-wishbone front and independent multi-link rear suspensions, Bilstein DampTronic shock absorbers with three driver-selectable settings (Normal, Comfort, and R), a “horizontal-flow” dashboard design wrapped in Nappa leather, NissanConnect infotainment system with 8-inch multi-touch display, a Bose 11-speaker system, and more.
Depending on the grades, the new Nissan GT-R may come outfitted with Brembo brakes, RAYS 20-inch wheels, Dunlop rubbers, and more.
The 2024 Nissan GT-R will arrive at select U.S. Nissan dealers this Spring. NISMO models will arrive in Summer. Pricing has not been announced.
