To be honest, I do not encourage kids to be using smartphones or tablets from a very young age. Not even for a while. But hey, if you are OK with it and want you kids to have a tablet of their own, France-based Alcatel Mobile will have you covered with the Alcatel TKEE MID kids tablet.
Obviously, this ain’t the first kids-focused tab from the TCL-owned France communication giant. It is just another option to consider if you are in the market for one that does not rip a hole out of your wallet.
The Alcatel TKEE MID kids tablet boasts an 8-inch HD IPS display that claims to be made safer for children with TÜV Rheinland accreditation for eye protection and comfort by, you know, filtering out blue light.
The tablet comes presented in a striking yellow bumper case that will keep it safe from drops because, dropping things are what kids do.
Not a lot is known about this piece of gadget for kids, but you can be sure it is loaded with content for kiddo. However, be prepared to splurge as it includes Kidomi, a subscription-based app that offers premium games, books, movies and TV shows that are curated to “maximize your child’s education.”
Not surprisingly, the table offers parent controls, along with “other measures” to keep kids safe from any toxicity that may exists in the connected world.
As of now, there is no word if Alcatel TKEE MID Tablet for Kids will land on stateside. However, it will be available in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America, as well as Southeast Asia and Pacific markets in Q3 2020 for a modest €149 (or approximately US$176) a piece.
