The new Aston Martin DB12 Volante offers the best of the Super Tourer performance and handling with the exhilarating sensory thrills of roof-down driving. It shares the same design, engineering, and technology advances as the Aston Martin DB12 Coupe, including the superlative 4.0L V8 twin-turbo motor that produces 680 PS (671 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

Like the hard-top variant, it is paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with the same shortened Final Drive Ratio and electronic rear differential (E-Diff) to enable it to rocket from a standstill to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).

The drop-top version boasts a best-in-class roof design that enables sleek, lowline packaging and swift operation. Moreover, the underbody received some tweaks that result in the Volante having an increase in global torsional stiffness along with focussed improvement in lateral stiffness and gains in suspension performance and refinement. It has a non-isolated steering column and a stiffer front axle too.

Other highlights include new generation intelligent adaptive dampers, which have a 500% increase in bandwidth of force distribution compared to previous generation hardware, giving the DB12 Volante a range of dynamic capability and character far in excess of class rivals. Indeed, the main difference between DB12 Coupe and Volante are detailed revisions to the rear spring rate and a dedicated damper tune.

Additional notable features encompass advanced next-generation intelligent adaptive dampers, exhibiting a remarkable 500% enhancement in force distribution bandwidth when juxtaposed with their predecessors. This innovation bestows upon the DB12 Volante an expansive spectrum of dynamic capabilities and a distinct character that outshines its peers within the same class.

Notably, the primary distinction between the DB12 Coupe and the Volante lies in meticulous adjustments to the rear spring rate, coupled with a specially tailored damper configuration.
