Daniel Arsham x Hot Wheels Collection

Ever imagine how things will turn out when art meets collectible toys like, say, Hot Wheels? Never? Well, you are about to find out yourself – thanks to a partnership between artist Daniel Arsham and Mattel’s Hot Wheels. Mattel Creations is partnering with artist Daniel Arsham on a four-part Hot Wheels collaboration that has been two years in the making.

The project, called “Laps,” will include reimagined 1:64 scale Hot Wheels models across four phases. The first phase showcases an eroded version of the artist’s Porsche 930 Turbo and a crystallized eroded version of the Rodger Dodger which is a modified 1973 Dodge Charger SE with a blown V8 engine emerging from the hood.

The collection also features a Super Rally Case inspired by the original 1968 Hot Wheels Rally Case – eroded, of course. This collaboration also introduces new materials, including Silkstone, to the Hot Wheels lineup.

The Mattel Creations x Daniel Arsham Hot Wheels collection will be available, along with accessories, starting October 27, 2023, on Mattel Creations’ official site. Exactly what will be offered has not been revealed (but we heard it will include keychains, stickers, and limited edition prints). The price range was not made known either.
