Ever wanted to curve a bullet like in the action thriller Wanted (2008, Universal Pictures)? Well, unfortunately, both science and Mythbusters have proven you can’t. Though it is totally doable with a bow and arrow. But thanks to Hasbro, you don’t need archery skills to curve a projectile because, there’s the NERF Rival Curve Shot Blasters.
These new NERF blasters let you curve shots like in the movie Wanted, but with foam balls instead. The new Rival Curve blasters has an adjustable barrel that lets you change the angle of your shot.
Users will be able to choose whether they want to shoot straight, left, right, or down, by rotating the muzzle. Theoretically, you will be able to shoot things that aren’t in your line or sight – even over an obstacle.
There are three NERF Rival Curve Shot Blasters: NERF Rival Curve Shot Flex XXI-100, NERF Rival Curve Shot Sideswipe XXI-1200, and NERF Rival Curve Shot Helix XXI-2000.
Both the Flex and Sideswipe are set to drop on March 1, 2021, for US$14.99 and US$24.99, respectively. The Helix is set to arrive in August as a Target-exclusive for US$29.99.
We can’t find anything on the official website regarding the new Hasbro NERF Rival Curve Shot Blasters. However, if you are so inclined, more details can be found on a write up on The Verge.
