Hayden Christensen’s portrayal of young Anakin Skywalker did not please fans, and so his return as a Force ghost in the remastered edition of the Return of the Jedi, replacing Sebastian Shaw, was, well, controversial to say the least. Shaw played Vader who succumb to the injuries sustained dropping the Emperor off into the depths of Death Star II. Clearly, not everyone is a fan of Christensen but if you are, the Hasbro Star Wars The Black Series Force Ghosts 3-Pack is for you.
Commemorating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, each figure of The Black Series features the classic design and comes in retro packaging, complete with the Kenner branding. The figures are based on the scene at the end of ROTJ when Luke Skywalker sees the Force ghosts of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Master Yoda.
The figures are in a 6-inch scale and feature poseable head, arms and legs, and boasts premium deco. The likeness of the human Jedis is based on Hayden Christensen and Alec Guinness, and hence, it may not be for every Star Wars fan, including yours truly.
