Hot Toys Batman Begins Batman and Batmobile

Hot Toys is revisiting Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy with these re-releases. Why? It sells, obviously. This is awesome news for folks who are late in the game in picking up high-quality collectibles from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy, or anyone who missed collecting them previously because of budget constraint. Wait. Scrap the last reason because, they are still expensive as hell.

The two items are Batman Begins Batmobile 1/6th Scale Collectible Vehicle (MMS596) and Batman Begins Batman 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure (MMS595). Being a 1/6th scale vehicle, the Tumbler is HUGE. It stretches around 73 centimeters (29 inches) long and boasts a full cockpit that will fit the 1/6th scale Batman. Speaking of Batman, he is, of course, based on Christian Bale’s likeness.

The vehicle further features 10 LED light-up functions throughout the vehicle, movie-accurate details and paint applications, rolling tires, and exquisite mechanical features such as slide-open roof panel, and articulated braking flaps.

Retailers like Sideshow are taking pre-orders as we speak. As for the pricing, the Tumbler will run you back at a hefty US$625 while the figure, at around US$255. Nope. After all these years, I still can’t afford either. OK, maybe the figure, but definitely not the vehicle. That’s way out of my league.
