JJ Abrams sort of surprised the world when he announced that BB8 droid is actually a real robot and not CGI. That’s the Star Wars’s Universe where Apple doesn’t exist, but what if Apple did exist in the Galaxy Far, Far away? And what if Mr. Jony Ive, the design legend of our time (thanks in part to Steve Jobs, really), had a say in the droid designs? Well, this is what it will look like as imagined by designer Martin Hajek, complete with built-in projector, circular touch screen interface and all, and it will be available in, not surprisingly, silver, gold and space grey. Though no mention if that “projector” is of the holographic variety that’s staple to the Star Wars Universe.

And oh, it has, of course, illuminating Apple logo to cos’ how else would anyone knows it is from the Apple of the Galaxy Far, Far away? Not sure if Apple Care will be offered if the Apple of the alternate universe were to offer these droids.
