The collaboration between Shin Evangelion, Shin Godzilla, Shin Kamen Rider, and Shin Ultraman, known as Shin Japan Heroes Universe (SJHU) revealed earlier this year will not result in an Avengers-like movie. Instead, SJHU exists for the sole purpose of merchandising.
It started with Shin Japan Heroes Amusement World, which is still happening. Then there is the Shins crossover with the mobile video game Puzzle & Dragons, and a pachinko game called Godzilla vs. Evangelion: G Cells Awakening.
And the latest product from the SHJU is a commemorative wristwatch celebrating the Shin Japan Heroes Amusement World event.
The Shin Japan Heroes Amusement World Wristwatch is a minimalistic watch with a 41 mm bamboo-made case paired with a leather band.
The clock face is divided into four quadrants, each featuring an image of one of the Shin franchises against a background color representative of each (you know, purple for Shin Evangelion, green for Shin Kamen Rider).
Around the back, it has stainless steel case back engraved with the SJHU official logo, along with the event name “Shin Japan Heroes Amusement World”.
The watch will be available for pre-order on Premium Bandai [JP] on November 25, for 33,000 yen (about US$223).
