Fans of the original Star Wars should be really, really pumped to see the first official image of the upcoming LEGO 75294 Bespin Duel. You probably know that this set, which plays out the scene with the iconic line “No, I am your father”, is coming, but it is of late that we have the official image.
No official description yet, though. It has not been formally announced. The image was pulled from the set’s instructions at LEGO.com by Snazzy_Bricks. As you can see, while the 75294 may be a small set, it has done a good job in recreating the “Luke, I am your father” scene.
Also from the image, you can tell that it is a set celebrating the 40 years of Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, as indicated on a mini plaque. I am also digging the dark base that creates the illusion of dark abyss of Cloud City of Bespin.
The set is an adult collectible originally destined to be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive. Now that SDCC, among other events, is canceled due to the pandemic, it will likely be available through other means. Hopefully not through sweepstakes, though. I am not a fan of luck-based buying trend.
The set was previously listed on TorysRUs.ca, but it has since been pulled. Perhaps it was posted by mistake? If you can’t wait to learn more, you can pore over the the set’s inventory posted on Brickset.com.
