Ask any petrolhead who has a thing or two for classic cars which is the most beautiful car ever designed, and the answer would likely be the Jaguar E-Type. That said, I am sure the folks at Jaguar are still proud of the timeless silhouette of the E-Type, and confident that LEGO could recreate it perfectly.

Well, it sure looks like it with the LEGO Icons Jaguar E-Type (11381) because, from the product photos, it looks more like a scale model than a brick-built set.
That’s right. The legendary E-Type, an icon of the automotive world, has been immortalized in bricks. The model, which packs 1,673 pieces, is a detailed replica of the 77 RW E-Type sports car in classic green—a nod to the iconic British Racing Green—and features wire-mesh-style wheels. The latter is an all-new mold created specifically for this set.
Though it is a build-and-display model designed for adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs), it does have a few gimmicks for some cool display options. It has a clamshell hood that, when opened, reveals the famed inline-six engine, opening doors (of course), and, wait for it, a textile roof—a.k.a. the convertible top—that folds back to complete the drop-top look.

Oh, right. Enthusiasts may have already noticed that “77 RW” refers to the convertible version, which this LEGO set is modeled after. The roof folds down externally and rests on the rear parcel shelf right behind the two seats, just ahead of the trunk.
Speaking of the trunk, it opens too. At the push of a button, it reveals a five-piece toolkit.
Finally, there’s the detailed interior, which you can admire in the most unobstructed way possible when the top is folded down. You can check out the main instrument cluster, the central instrument panel with its aircraft-inspired layout, the gear stick, the handbrake, the window crank on each door, the awkwardly low rear-view mirror sticking out of the dash, and the working steering.
When completed, the model measures 37 cm (14.5 in.) long, 14 cm (5.5 in.) wide, and 9 cm (3.5 in.) high.
The LEGO Icons Jaguar E-Type (11381) is available to order from LEGO.com for US$139.99, with shipping starting on August 1, 2026.
