LEGO Ideas Big Mouth Billy Bass by Raphy

I bet you never see it coming. If you do, good for you. But I sure never imagined someone who reimagined the iconic Big Mouth Billy Bass using plastic building bricks. That’s right, folks, someone actually recreated the singing fish, submitted to LEGO Ideas to pitch the idea, and proceeded to garner 10,000 supports.

Also, yes, this means this brick-built and animated singing fish has now officially advanced to the Review phase. Congrats to LEGO Ideas member Raphy. The project qualifies for the First 2025 Review, and it will go head-to-head with projects that have reached 10,000 supporters between January 2025 and early May 2025. We wish LEGO Ideas Big Mouth Billy Bass all the best.

Now a little something on this awesome creation…

Built at 1:1 scale using 2,000 pieces, this version of the beloved wall-mounted crooner isn’t just for show. It moves—thanks to LEGO Power Functions, gears, and crank systems that flap the tail, swing the head, and open the mouth. There’s even a hook and stand, so you can mount it like the real deal. Raphy’s hoping to add a sound brick and even a holiday dress-up kit down the line. Whether it sings or not, this brick-built fish is already a certified catch.
