LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse

Many worthy LEGO Ideas creations made it to three LEGO review each year. While there were exceptions, unfortunately in most instances, there can only be one. Anyhoo, as far as the third LEGO Ideas review results go, the ‘one’ is the LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse by Sandro Quattrini aka Roses Must Build.

LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse

How awesome is this creation needs no further explanation. It is a motorized lighthouse, duh! And it is no small set. Sandro’s proposition towers over 47 cm tall (18.5 inches), including an isolated island on which the lighthouse sits on, alongside a cozy little house.

The isolated island comes complete with a stone staircase on the side of the cliff and a pier, making it a diorama worthy set. Further adding live to this LEGO diorama is, of course, the motorized feature.

Using a motor, powered by LEGO Power Functions, the light brick inside the lantern room rotates just like in an actual lighthouse. The result is pretty surreal and it makes me want one already.

Now that Sandro’s LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse is a go, LEGO will work on the final product design before revealing the pricing and availability. Sadly, the very awesome Milwaukee Art Museum and the Auto Union Type C Race Car did not made it. What a bummer.
