LEGO elements alone can build pretty much anything. Combine that with LEGO Technic parts, it build wonders… wonders like the LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron you see here. Yes! This is the real deal. Not MOC or whatever. It is the official Bugatti Chiron set developed in partnership with the supercar maker. It is the latest in the LEGO Technic Supercar series following the much hyped LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS released two years ago.
Coming in at 1:8 scale and packing a cool 3,599 pieces, this LEGO-lized world’s quickest car features a “wealth of luxurious features,” including aerodynamic bodywork with an active rear wing (activated by inserting the top speed key), branded spoked wheels with low-profile rubbers, detailed brake discs, a W16 engine with moving pistons, functional hood to access a storage compartment with a Bugatti overnight bag inside, and functional doors that open up to reveal a detailed cockpit – complete with a “functional” LEGO Technic 8-speed gearbox with movable paddle gearshift and a steering wheel, slapped with the Bugatti emblem.
Like the real deal, each LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron includes a unique serial number which can be found under the hood, plus, fitting to its uber luxurious status, each building set comes packed in a luxurious box that includes a color collector’s booklet with building instructions. The duo-tone blue color scheme builds to a size measuring 22 x 9 x 5 inches.
And now for the good news: LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron 42083 is available as of June 1 and it is now available from LEGO Shop@Home worldwide, including North America. And the price? It will be a LEGO luxurious sticker of $349.99. That nearly as pricey as the real thing, but it might very be in LEGO terms. You have to be a mega fan to be willing to plonk down this kind of money.
