Well, what do you know? MEGA (formerly Mega Construx) not only has a Barbie Dreamhouse building set, but it also has a buildable 1:18 scale version of the ’56 Corvette Stingray.
The MEGA Barbie The Movie ’56 Corvette Stingray Collector Building Set is an 805-piece set that lets you recreate a screen-accurate bricks-and-pieces version of Barbie’s ride.
This build-and-display brick-build Corvette, which is presented in bubblegum pink paint with matching grille and trims, is loaded with details. It boasts a curvy contour, a detailed interior, a detailed engine, rose gold hubcaps and trim, rolling white wall tires, and opening doors, hood, and trunk.
The set also includes twin license plates and inline skate props. The bricks and pieces are, of course, compatible with other brick-build brands. Strangely, though. MEGA did not offer up the completed size of the model.
The MEGA Barbie The Movie ’56 Corvette Stingray Collector Building Set is available to order now from creations.mattel.com for US$80. It is recommended for ages 13 and up. But seriously, you are not going to buy for your kids, right? This set deserves a space alongside your other brick-build car collection.
