Following the restomod electric classic Mini, MINI Recharged is the official program that will let everyday folks realize the dream of owning an electric classic Mini. MINI Recharged will give a classic Mini a new lease of life in a sustainable way: electric drive.

The drive is a modern electric motor that produces a continuous output of up to 90 kW (equivalent to 121 HP) and accelerates it from naught to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in around 9 seconds. That’s 30 more horses and 4.4 seconds quicker than an Austin Mini Cooper, btw. Most importantly, instant torque is at your disposal. Fabulous!

The electric drive is paired to a high-voltage battery which can be charged with an output of up to 6.6 kW that affords it a modest range of around 160 kilometers (99 miles).

A “recharged” classic Mini not only gets a new motor; the instrument is also “recharged”. Every electrified classic Mini from MINI Recharged receives the characteristic central instrument cluster which now displays the drive temperature, the selected gear, range, and speed.
