The Mandalorian has arrive to Monopoly! And boy am I impressed by the packaging, which have some depth to it – thanks to the awesome steel-like design and the 3D-like graphics. I absolutely adore the packaging even I am not a fan of the Disney+ TV series.
What makes this even more collectible is, this particular edition includes a 3.75-inch retro collection Remnant Stormtrooper figure – complete with original figure design and detailing.
It may be a ‘Monopoly’, but the gameplay mechanic is little different:
• The Mandalorian fans can play as a favorite character from the series: The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, IG-11, or Kuiil. Each character has a special ability depicted on their Character card
• When a player passes or lands on The Child's space, they take the Child token and can use their character's enhanced ability along with The Child's unique ability
• Includes Incinerator Stormtrooper, Death Trooper, and Moff Godeon enemy tokens that can change gameplay. Game's over if an Imperial enemy gets The Child
There are no Chance and Community cards. But it has The Child token for accessing the special ability of the player character’s as well as The Child’s unique ability. Instead of properties, hotels, houses, and fake greenbacks, you buy hideouts, win battles, and earn Imperial credits.
There’s another twist in this version of Monopoly: having the most Imperial credits is not the only way to emerge as the winner. If an Imperial enemy gets his hands on The Child, the game’s over. Well, my interest is piqued!
The Monopoly: Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition Game With Figure is supplied with the game board, 4 Character tokens, 1 The Child Token, 4 Character Ability cards, 1 The Child card, 1 Moff Gideon token, 1 Incinerator Stormtrooper token, 1 Death Trooper token, 9 Imperial Enemy cards (1 Moff Gideon, 4 Incinerator Stormtroopers, 4 Death Troopers) 16 Hideout cards, 20 Signet cards, 75 plastic Imperial Credits, 2 dice, Retro Collection Remnant Stormtrooper figure, and game guide.
It is recommended for ages 8 and up, and for 2-6 players.
