Oppo Air Glass has evolved from a monocle to a regular pair of smart eyewear. Oppo’s newest smart glass may have lost the cool, futuristic look but it is now practical and thanks to vision correction, it can be, well, a pair of regular eyewear as well.
That’s right, folks. No more wearing a monocle over your glasses like a person from the future (read: less obvious that you are wearing a smart glass). Moreover, the new Oppo Air Glass 2 also promised a clearer display and improved performance that aims to increase productivity while maintaining ease of use.
With this latest smart glass, you will have a smart personal assistant that does translation, navigation, speech-to-text, and more. The latter is perhaps one of the most important features that will grant a hearing-impaired person the ability to “see sound”, thus improving their day-to-day communication.
All told, this inconspicuous smart eyewear weighs a mere 38g (1.34 ounces!), which should be good for all-day wear without discomfort. However, these are what we know so far.
Like the new Oppo Find N2 and Find N2 Flip, Oppo did not make the Oppo Air Glass 2 official internationally Also, it did refer the glass to as a concept. Perhaps, it isn’t quite ready for the masses yet?
