the idea of contact-less or non-contact charging is not new, and has been talked about since 1998. demonstrated as part of Nissan ‘Future’ technologies in the recent CEATEC Japan 2010, Nissan depicts their vision via the solar tree and Eporo robot cars. the demo, Eporo robot cars moved through a course around the solar tree, when the Eporo robot car runs out of power, it changes its course to enter into the non-contact charging lane and returns to normal lane when recharging is completed. well, i sure do hope this technology will come true. this is awesome! a couple weeks ago, Raytheon unveiled it’s 2nd generation Exoskeleton Robotic Suit. this project started as far back as 2008, when the 1st generation suit was unveiled. needless to say, this was developed for the U.S.Army but it’s potential applications are far and wide. the suit uses a combination of sensors, actuators and controllers, to ‘amplified’ the strength of human. although it may not look as ‘sleek’ as the Exoskeleton suit that Raiden wears in Metal Gear Solid, but this mark a huge advancement in this technology. as with all other innovations, thing always starts from big, but as technology matures, miniaturization of the components will no doubt be possible, and in the process making the suit even more sleek and agile. you know BOB – the Breathing Observation Bubble? and then there is HydroBOB, an underwater scooter that allows you to roam the underwater without diving training or even if do not know how to swim. HydroBOB is the combination of the BOB with a scooter that scoots around under the water. all you have to do is pops your head into the bubble and ride like a scooter. your head don’t get wet, so those with glasses still can wear them while scooting around underwater. very nice. this is something i really want to try. wonder how well it works in open sea, with the underwater current and all that. but i got one question: what happens if you bumped into a shark well scooting underwater? hmmmm. this upcoming purple on black (carbon-fiber) reincarnation of the Zonda is said to be based on the Cinque which means it will likely to get a 7.3 liter V12 motor developed by AMG with an output of 678 hp and 780 Nm of torque. well, want one? i guess you have to just sit and wait for now. no words of when this will be made available. but why 750? my bet is, it would be probably mean a bored-up version of Cinque engine, to 7.5 liter instead. that’s just my wild guess. either that or it simply means the 750 could be a tuned up version of the Cinque with 750 horses. we will just to wait and see.
