Razer Kishi Ultra is a USB C gaming controller that supports iPad mini and Android tablets with 8-inch displays – in addition to Android and iPhone 15 series. Not going to lie. Lately, I have been revisiting LEGO Star Wars Saga on iOS and it does make me wish for a larger display and tactile controls.
So the prospect of a Kishi that offers the ergonomics and control of a full-fledged pro console controller and also fits 8-inch tablets is pretty enticing to me.
This full-size console-class controller from Razer features Razer Chroma RGB, Razer Sensa HD Haptics, and a “first-of-its-kind” full-sized handle and button layout that would enhance your gaming experience on devices like iPad mini. Moreover, the new Razer Kishi Ultra allows for wired play with a PC too.
Key features include exclusive Mecha-tactile-8-way D-pad and ABXY buttons, console-sized Hall Effect triggers, full-sized pro-grade thumb sticks with anti-friction rings and a medical-grade TPSiV surface, and programmable L4/R4 multifunction buttons for customized control setups, previously only available on PCs and consoles.
Kishi Ultra connects to PCs or iPads via direct low-latency USB-C connection, supporting haptic vibrations on PC, and like a real handheld gaming console, it also has a 3.5 mm audio headphone jack. The controller is compatible with a case too – thanks to the USB C “island” design that provides extra depth to ensure that it will fit most popular phone cases.
Finally, the controller is powered by the subscription-free Razer Nexus that offers access to thousands of controller-compatible games on Android and iOS.
