Already bored with the plain white look of your PlayStation 5? If so, PlayStation has just the thing to spice things up a little. This time, instead of adding a symbiote threat or camouflage, it is taking the geeky route with see-through DualSense controllers and matching PS5 console covers.
And mind you, this is no regular transparent look. It has striking colors to boot. Folks, meet the Prism Collection PlayStation 5 Accessories.
Instead of the usual clear, transparent look, the DualSense wireless controllers and PS5 console covers come in three eye-catching transparent colors: Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray, each finished with a premium glossy sheen.
While the high-gloss clear finish extends across the back of the controller, it is not entirely transparent; a metallic finish on the middle cover offers a contrasting look that completes the futuristic aesthetic.
The same goes for the matching console covers; the upper section is transparent, while the lower section receives the same metallic finish as the controller.
So yeah, for the first time on PlayStation 5, you can officially peer through the game controller and console. No JerryRigEverything or iFixIt involvement. I gotta say that this is a truly eye-catching lifecycle extension strategy.
The Prism Collection DualSense wireless controllers will be available for US$84.99, while the matching PS5 console covers will be a PlayStation Store exclusive in select regions, available in limited quantities for US$74.99, when they launch on February 4, 2027.
Pre-orders are expected to commence on November 10, 2026, at 10 AM local time directly from PlayStation (where available), as well as participating retailers. It is worth noting, though, that the exact launch date and availability of the accessories may vary by country or region.
