You probably haven’t heard of Rokid. But you really should if you are into augmented reality glasses because, Rokid is kind of a specialist in this field. The Rokid Air 4K AR Glasses is the company’s latest offering currently being funded on Kickstarter.
As the product name suggests, Rokid Air 4K AR Glasses is a pair of AR glasses (or more correctly, a video eyewear) with 4K capability. With the Rokid Air 4K AR Glasses it promised to deliver 120-inch virtual screen right before your eyes, letting you enjoy games, movies, and more without weighing you down.
At just 85g (3 oz.), you probably won’t feel a thing. How it managed to achieve this featherweight is because, it has no battery. It is powered by the device that it is tethered to. So, yeah, it is wired which is probably not for everyone, IMHO.
Rokid Air 4K AR Glasses further features AI voice control, gesture control via smartphone, compatible with wide range of devices, HD directional speaker, built-in noise-canceling microphone, and myopia-friendly focal adjustment.
Rokid Air 4K AR Glasses has received a lot of love on Kickstarter. At the time of this post, it has rolled in over US$220K in funding from more than 650 backers. How? Not sure. But you can find out yourself at its Kickstarter page where you can back for a pair for US$359 or more.
