How many of you here have first aid training? Not many, I supposed. With so many accident, big and small, happening everyday, it is ridiculous not to know the basic of life-saving procedure and yet, it is not a life skill a person would deliberately pick up. This is a gap where RubrixAID aims to fill. RubrixAID is a first aid kit, but it is not simply a box with all the medical paraphernalia; it is a high-tech one. Equipped with a touchscreen display and speaker, it allows user to pick out the emergency situation by touch, such as where the injury is, and an in-built voice will guide you to which first aid kit to use and how to address the wound. Obviously, it is not for life-and-death situation, but it should serve to stop,, for example, life-threatening injury like bleeding.
It is a pretty nifty piece of safety equipment which sadly, not many see the benefits, judging from the response of RubrixAID’s Kickstarter campaign. The campaign is ending soon and it is clear at this point that the product will not see the light of production as far as crowdfunding campaign is concerned, but still, we still feel the need to let you guys on this. It is a shame that it can’t make it cos’ it could well be the missing puzzle in our lives.
Accidents do happen and it always good to be prepared, whether you are a grown-ass person or a preteen person, which the kit is also designed for. RubrixAID could safe someone from the agony of pain, or even death, and in the process, teaches you the basics of first aid. Not every has been through the service which would have taught you about the basic of first aid and so, this makes this high-tech first aid kit a must-have for any home. I mean, seriously, there is really no point in having a well stocked first aid box and never know how to apply them correctly.
In case you are curious, RubrixAID is available in two versions: Guardian which is strictly for indoor use, such as your home, and one that is “engineered and equipped for on-the-go” use called Voyage and costs $129-149 and $169, respectively. If you are interested, I will leave it to you to explore the details it has to offer.
