Remember the AirPods charging iPhone battery case? The Scendo Snapods similar but not for AirPods. However, it might be even better – thanks to the new MagSafe feature found on the iPhone 12.
Scendo Snapods is a pair of true wireless earbuds that leveraged on the MagSafe on the new iPhone to stick to the back of the phone.
It will work with iPhone without MagSafe and any phone. But you have stick an ultra slim metallic frame onto the back of your non-MagSafe phone. Not the most elegant solution, IMHO.
If you ask me, I’d suggest this only to iPhone 12 users. But hey, if you are OK with a super thin piece of thing on your device, no one is stopping you. And oh, it works with a case too, so I suppose it’s cool too?
As a pair of TWS earbuds, Snapods looks pretty damn sleek despite it having the stem design. At least isn’t a pole.
Snapods further boasts Qualcomm 3040 Bluetooth 5.2 chip featuring Qualcomm TrueWireless Mirroring Technology that affords true seamless and rapid switch between two earbuds while reducing power consumption as much as 50%.
Other spec-sheet details include bespoke 13 mm oversize graphene-coated dynamic driver, cVc 8.0 Noise Cancellation for clear voice calls, supports both AAC and aptX codec for high-quality audio streaming, touch controls, ergonomic fit, IPX5 rated, and a whopping 45 hours of playback (5 + 40 hours) when used with the included charging case.
The charging case can be recharged via the USB-C port or wireless using a wireless charging pad. And did I mention that it is ridiculously lightweight? Each earbud weighs in at mere 0.1 oz (2.83g!).
Scendo Snapods MagSafe TWS Earbuds can be had by backing for a product on Kickstarter for as low as US$69. The campaign is over 200% funded at the time of this post and therefore, a pledge for a product is indeed a pre-order which will be fulfilled sometime in February 2021.
