The brilliant mind behind the beautiful Macintosh Studio iPad Dock and Mac Mini “Laptop”, Scott Yu-Jan, has done something incredible again. This time, he wasn’t alone. Artist OVERWERK has reached out to Scott and proposed an accessory no self-proclaimed style maestro iPhone users should ignore: an iPhone Standby Mode Dock.

Accessories that do that are a dime a dozen, but none actually does it like design legend Dieter Rams—which Apple drew their inspiration from during Jobs and Jony Ive’s time. OVERWERK has a bold idea to create a dock that actually looked like a classic bedside table alarm clock. But his design is minimal like Braun under the design direction of Rams. Working with OVERWERK, Scott added a couple of cool features—one of which is Scott’s passion: an ejection button.

The original lets you retrieve the docked iPhone 15 Pro by pushing the device into the dock on either end. Scott being the ejection button guy decided it deserves an ejection button and so incorporated one in—in a way only Scott knows how to—elegantly. The Scott-infused design now has a long button on the top of the dock, almost flush with the body, that when pressed, ejects the phone.

In addition, Scott created a holder for a wireless charger. This allows Scott to charge his Apple AirPods wirelessly. The result is a super cool device that, as I have said, no self-proclaimed style maestro iPhone users should miss. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can actually print one yourself
