Clearly, not wanting to be left out on the highway in the skies, Subaru has also unveiled its vision of a flying car. Dubbed the Subaru Sport Mobility Concept, Subaru’s vision of a flying Subaru is no different from other concepts; it is an eVTOL powered by horizontally mounted rotors (six, in this instance).

Also like many flying car concepts, it features a cockpit with an unknown seating capacity surrounded by the rotors. However, this Subie for the Skies stood out somewhat because it actually kind of looks like a Subaru car but without wheels.

It felt like the designer had taken inspiration from an RC quadcopter like the Air Hogs Elite Helix X4 and made it into a full-scale flying machine. However, the Subaru Air Mobility Concept is a lot more sleeker and way more futuristic.

There’s barely any information to go with but what the public gets to see is enough to give fans of the idea of flying cars a wet dream.

Oh, have you noticed it has a light-up Subaru logo up front? And Subaru is spelled out as part of its tail lights? Man, this is so freaking cool. So, yeah, a flying Subaru is in the works. Subaru said engineers from the aerospace and automotive divisions are working together on flight demonstrations.
