LEGO Ideas TRON Legacy Set Has Not One But Two Light Cycles

Well, you have heard the exciting news late last year and now, we have the official words and images of the LEGO Idea TRON Legacy Light Cycle Set, originally created by BrickBros UK as a LEGO Ideas submission. And boy, is this set a beauty! No noticeable changes have been made since we last saw the set. The only ‘major’ change we noted is the naming, in which the words “Light Cycle” seems to have been dropped in favor of just “TRON Legacy.” But despite so, rest assure that you are getting the iconic, futuristic bikes as dreamed up by BrickBros UK. TRON Legacy By BrickBros UK Has Been Approved By LEGO Ideas Team

Good news, fans of TRON, specifically Disney’s reboot, the TRON Legacy because, BrickBros UK’s LEGO Ideas submission, TRON Legacy Light Cycle, has been approved as one of the next LEGO Ideas sets. Wise choice, LEGO Ideas team! For the record, I am not huge fan of TRON Legacy, but I can’t deny that Light Cycle has captured my imagination, regardless how impractical it is. It is just about the coolest fictional motorcycle ever, apart from Akira’s. Continue reading TRON Legacy By BrickBros UK Has Been Approved By LEGO Ideas Team

TRON Lightcycle Power Run: Roller Coaster Thrill In Motorbike Style

This is TRON Lightcycle Power Run, a thrill ride available at Shanghai Disneyland Resort. What makes this roller coaster so special is the roller coaster car which, as the ride name suggests, is really motorcycle, the TRON Lightcycle from the rebooted sci-fi flick TRON: Legacy. What this means is, you are exposed as you were riding an actual motorcycle and the exhilaration is further boosted by the fact that the riders will have to lean forward on their chest, in a near-prone position and head forward. There’s even handle bars on each ‘bike’ for you to hold on to your dear life. Continue reading TRON Lightcycle Power Run: Roller Coaster Thrill In Motorbike Style

in every fantasy sci-fi movie, there is the hero and then there’s the necessary villain, and it so happens that villain always look a whole lot cooler (not to mention their firearms), hence its memorabilia tends to look equally cool and collectable. however, i can’t say the same for TRON: Legacy, where evil CLU is no where as cool as his masked enforcer of The Grid. that’s perhaps the reason what make this limited edition Rinzler Maquette so awesome. created by Sideshow Collectibles, in partnership with Quantum Creation FX, this memorable masked enforcer is presented as a maquette that is individually painted and finished. TRON fever has probably died down by now but that hasn’t stop custom chopper builder Parker Brothers Choppers from giving their original gas-guzzling Lightcycle project an extensive body rework and for some eco-friendly measures, it is given a 96-volt electric motor, juiced by a lithium-ion battery pack that’s said to offer a top speed of more than 100 mph (160 km/h) and a range of 100 miles (160 km) on a single charge. recharging is said to takes only a mere 35-mins. though i am not a true fan of electric vehicles but still, a full-electric version of this neon-light packed two-wheeler is at least closer to its big screen counterpart. there’s no indication of whether the electric-variant of the Lightcycle will be available for purchase. only 350 units will be made available and it will be on sale on April 14, at Noon EDT. the PDP Limited Edition Yellow TRON Controller is a “Web Exclusive” and cost $49.99 a pop.
