When Star-Lord aka Peter Quill was abducted from Earth by Yondu Udonta, he was just eight and Kevin Bacon’s Footloose was a hit. So it is only natural that his crew would want to cheer him up with… no, not a copy of Footloose film but with the star himself, Kevin Bacon.
With the “Christmas present” decided, Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) head to Earth to pick up the “present”. Such is the premise of Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
The Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special stars the original cast, including Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn and The Old 97’s with Michael Rooker and of course, the present himself, Kevin Bacon.
This isn’t the first time Bacon has been involved in a Marvel project. He played Sebastian Shaw in 2011’s X-Men: First Class.
The special was written and directed by James Gunn, with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Gunn, Sara Smith, and Simon Hatt serving as executive producers. David J. Grandt and Lars P. Winther are the co-producers of this what would be a super fun Holiday Special.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will start streaming on November 25 on Disney+. Skip ahead for the official trailer. The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit theaters on May 05, 2023.
