We have seen a myriad of vehicles given the track treatment. From Hayabusa to Bentley Continental GT to a Smart Fortwo with full-fledged tank treads, we have seen it all but we have yet to see a Cybertruck on tracks. Well, that’s until now. Stars of Discovery Channel’s Diesel Brothers, Heavy D and Diesel Dave, YouTube channel HeavyDSparks has created the world’s first Cybertruck on tracks.
The bros picked up the Cybertruck from Supercar Ron who loaned the truck for them to do whatever. Anyhoo, long story short, HeavyDSparks shod the truck with a set of big Helltraxx tracks, gave it some super bright roof lights from Baja Designs, had it wrapped by ArcticFX (cool snow camo!), and along the way, the front air suspension was replaced with Fox coilover along with new control arms.
During the initial test, the control arm was wrecked and folded like a piece of paper. So the bros have to have it replaced with a new and stronger control arm. At the same time, they swapped the front air suspension for a set of coilovers. The result is a Cybertrack that is fit for plowing through the thick powdered grounds.
It works well and looks very cool but unfortunately, it did not last for long. The front left wheel spindle broke when the folks were putting it through its paces. Notwithstanding that, I am sure we have not seen the last of this Cybertrack. Anyhoo, skip ahead for the video of the build and test runs.
