Does your dog often vie for the game controller with you when you are playing video games? Well, if so, I think it is time for Fido to have his/her own controller. Folks, meet the Turtle Beach K-9000, the first controller designed for dogs. Yes, seriously. OK. TBH, I am not sure if this is even real, given this was supposedly for National Pet Month, which is this month, April. Anyway, I will go ahead and tell you about it.
For National Pet Month, typically celebrated from April 1st to early May, Turtle Beach is giving every dog a chance to win their very own K-9000. And by “giving every dog a chance to win” it means you, his human best friend, have to help them do it. I mean, you don’t seriously expect Max the purebred German Shepherd to access the Turtle Beach K-9000 giveaway webpage and painstakingly type their email—if they even have one—with their large paws with claws, am I right? 😄
Anyhoo, not a lot is known about this weirdest controller we have ever come across, except that it is a new controller specifically engineered for your canine friend, so you can finally game with your best friend. Is it really functional, or is it a dog toy? I have no idea. From the product images, we can see that the controller has a bone-shaped design and just four large buttons for obvious reasons. Official words:
“Our engineers meticulously studied dog-centric behavior to determine Canine Capable Actuation, in order to better craft a gaming device they can seamlessly interact with.
The result? A controller with buttons designed specifically for your pup and their paws. It took a whole lotta science, but now you can run duos with your doggo.”
There is one large button with a paw print on each of the top left and right, and two larger rectangular buttons side by side in the middle. How exactly this is going to play out, we have no clue. No purchase is needed, btw.
