Most enjoy music, but not all music lovers adore the idea of having speakers cluttering their living. The truth is, humans learn to live with unsightly speakers and to this end, we sort of accept as it is. If you want none of it, there are quite a few solutions out there, including the likes of Soundwall ($1,050+), Basswall (£599+), and the more upmarket Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Shape ($4,200+) we saw a few months back. As you can see, the price of having music without obvious speakers is not cheap, but then came along Digital Oasis Limited, a young Hong Kong company that smashes all of the aforementioned offerings with an incredibly priced wall art Bluetooth speaker system called VisualSonic (no relation to ViewSonic or whatsoever).

At a starting price of 759 Hong Kong dollars (around US$97), it is by far the most affordable wall art speaker available in today’s market. Granted, we probably can’t attest to the sound, but hey, it is under a 100 bucks isn’t it? And so… Anywho, with a thickness of mere 25 mm (under an inch), it is also among the world’s thinnest wall mounted music device. In other words, it look absolutely like any of your hanging wall arts. Under the artistic hood, it touts a pair of 10W P.M.P.O drivers along with two 5W RMS drivers, and it has a built-in 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery, rechargeable via USB cable, that offers up to six hours of music enjoyment.

Wireless audio streaming is facilitated by “True Wireless Stereo” Bluetooth technology which, in conjunction with the aforementioned drivers, delivers what the company described as “immersive and engaging (audio)” that’s enough “to bring any party to life.” Also in the mix is resonance sound system comprises of sound vibrator, sound panel and picture panel to bolster the audio delivery. And oh, you can paired two such wall art speakers to create an engulfing sound system. Just though you may want to know… As for the asesthetic, the company is offering a selection of art decor painting international artists like, for examples, Olga Rom, MSSA, and Irina Levitskaya.

So, yeah, the catch is, you can’t have your dream image on it at this point, and also, the size is fixed at 500 x 500 x 25 mm (19.7 x 19.7 x 0.98 inches). It looks the art will be fixed too, which means there will be no possibility of switching it (the art) out for a fresh art if you get bored with it. But for 759-859 HKD (approximately US$97-109), I would think VisualSonic Wall Art Bluetooth Speaker System is a steal. However, before you get overly excited, you have to know, VisualSonic is being peddled on Kickstarter and this means that in order for it to see the light of production, it has to meet its funding goal which is set at 100,000 HKD (about US$12,800).

As of now, the campaign is near the half way mark and so, if you like to see it become a reality, you can join the thirty something backers to give it a push to the finish line. You can find out more about VisualSonic in the product pitch video after the post, or you could just hit up the product’s Kickstarter page to pick up even more details.
