If you didn’t get a chance to secure the Metal Build Evangelion Unit 01 Figure in 2018, you will be glad that Bandai has another Metal Build Evangelion this June – in time for the release of the new Evangelion movie.
Measuring 220 mm (8.67 inches), the Metal Build Evangelion Unit-01 Test Type Figure features interchangeable hands and comes with a bunch of accessories.
Accessories include the progressive knife with sheath, Pallet Rifle, Pallet Rifle Option Set, Handgun (with removable magazine!), Umbilical cable, along with Magoroku Exterminate Sword and Counter Sword – both with sheath.
Like the 2018, it comes with the launch cage platform, albeit in a slightly different design. However, the most delightful accessory here, IMHO, would be the 390 mm long Spear of Longinus. Though it is rather odd that it is an accessory to the Unit-01 because, clearly, it was Rei in her Unit-00 that threw it into space at Angel Arael.
Metal Build Evangelion Unit-01 Test Type Figure is available for pre-order in Japan for 28,600 Yen tax included (about US$265). It will soon be available in select countries on the respective country Bandai Premium websites.
