remember that cute little Bluetooth-controlled ball Sphero? it is finally here. well, almost. it is up for pre-order over at Sphero website for $129.99. not exactly cheap as far as toys are concerned but it is, after all, an innovation and the fact that it has an Open API means more games will be developed to work with this little ball of fun. for the uninitiated, the Sphero is just a ball about the size of a baseball that can be controlled by Android or IOS devices via the trusty Bluetooth connection. all you have to do is to pair it up with your Android or iOS device and you are good to go.

oh, things have somewhat change since our first report. aesthetically, now it sports a minimalist white outlook with just a simple Sphero branding on it and to spice things up a little, it now has customizable colored LED in any colors imaginable. the Sphero comes with packaged with an induction charger for charging your Sphero without physical connection, and some free games and apps. though no specific were given on the games and apps part. if you still can’t make out what a Sphero is, then hit past the jump for a video of the Sphero in action to bring you up to speed.
